Chrome extensions are pretty useful and I have using a lot of them.


The official documentation tells the main point about of them:

Extensions allow you to add functionality to Chrome without diving deeply into native code.
You can create new extensions for Chrome with those core technologies that you’re already familiar with from web development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Yes! That’s it! You can develop chrome extension using only HTML, CSS and Javascript!

Encrypting salesforce data (AES)

Salesforce has made a lot of efforts to ensure the data security on the platform.
And one of the latest salesforce released feature was the platform encryption.

Working with cryptography on salesforce is easy.

The Crypto class is used to encrypt/decrypt data on the platform.
This class provides methods for creating digests, message authentication codes, and signatures, as well as encrypting and decrypting information.

Salesforce Code Coverage Monitor

Sometimes we need to access tens of organizations everyday,
and always is good to see how much is the code coverage.
To know it you need to use the salesforce console.

I guess it is a very nice tool and has a lot of good features but the UX (User experience) is not good enough. Sometimes it seems so  heavy and it crashes.

Salesforce Visualforce Code Generator

Everybody knows you can use URL hacking to populate field values on salesforce, instead to customize a Standard Layout. If you don’t know what is URL Hacking, see it.

URL Hacking is not a good choice. In the most of the cases, the right choice is to create a visualforce.
It’s the best choice, but not the fastest choice.
